In 8 weeks, I incorporate AI into how your team works day-to-day — from ideas during meetings to defining tech specs to implementation — so that:

  • More projects ship with the same headcount
  • The repetitive stuff gets automated — not just faster, gone from your team's plate
  • Your best people spend time on the hard problems that actually move revenue
  • Your team actually knows how to use AI in their daily work — not just talks about it
  • You end up with a written playbook for "how we build here now"

This is a hands-on operating upgrade for your engineering team, not a motivational workshop.


Built with your engineers, not done to them

I start by understanding how your team works today and what they're already doing with AI. Engineers help pick the 3–5 workflows we improve first — so I'm solving their headaches, not adding new ones.

Every change is designed to make your engineers look better to the rest of the company: faster delivery, less grind, clearer wins.


How the 8 weeks work

Week 0

Understand how your team works today

Before I change anything, I survey your engineers and non-technical stakeholders to understand your current process, AI fluency, what's working, and what's not.

I come out of this with a clear picture of what's already clicking and where the biggest opportunities are.

Weeks 1–2

Get first wins

Together with your engineers, we pick 3–5 specific workflows where AI can help, for example:

  • Slow code reviews on core systems
  • Repetitive changes across many services or repos
  • Internal tools no one has time to build
  • Tests and documentation that always get pushed "to later"

I run live working sessions in your actual codebase, side-by-side with your team, showing exactly how I use AI to move faster on real work.

Weeks 3–4

Turn first wins into repeatable habits

Your team uses the new way of working on live projects (not toy examples). I help write simple rules:

  • What AI is allowed to help with
  • Where a human always has final say
  • How to review AI-assisted changes without slowing everything down

I track a few simple, meaningful signals, like:

  • How long certain classes of work take from "started" to "done"
  • How many tickets / PRs get over the line each week

End of Week 4: value check and exit option. If you're not seeing results, you stop and owe nothing beyond the first 50%. No hard feelings, no drawn-out conversations.

Weeks 5–6

Roll it out across the team

Expand the working patterns to more engineers and teams. Turn what's working into defaults:

  • Templates
  • Checklists
  • "Here's how we do this now" documents

Add one or two more use cases (for example, internal tools or support-adjacent automation) once the first ones are stable.

Weeks 7–8

Make it stick without me

Turn everything into internal playbooks your team can run without me:

  • "How we use AI on feature work"
  • "How we use AI on cleanup / refactors / tests"
  • "How we prototype internal tools quickly with AI"

Final working session focused on an important, current project so you can see the "after" state on something that matters. Handoff of all recordings, written guides, and a 90-day continuation plan your engineering lead can own.

Everything is remote and designed to fit around an active roadmap, not pause it.


Why the gap keeps growing

"Won't AI just keep getting better on its own?" It will. But models improving doesn't eliminate the advantage of knowing how to use them well — it widens it.

Study after study shows the same thing: the teams seeing dramatic gains aren't using better AI tools. They have better workflows. Companies that hand engineers AI without structure don't just miss the upside — they often end up slower.

There will always be ways to competitively extract more from wherever the models are right now. An engineering team still running prompting habits from six months ago — strategies that were helpful when models were weaker, but that actively degrade output from current models — isn't just missing upside. They may be working against themselves.

The playbooks we build in 8 weeks give your team a strong foundation. But AI moves fast enough that they benefit from tending.

Week-4 exit option

Before we start, we agree on 2–3 simple results that would make this feel like a win. Examples:

  • "This class of work takes about 30–50% less time"
  • "We finally shipped [specific project] that's been stuck"
  • "We're clearing more tickets each week with the same team"

At the end of Week 4, we sit down and review progress against those.

  • If you feel we're on track to a clear win by Week 8, we continue
  • If you don't, you stop the sprint and owe nothing beyond the first 50%

That's your protection: you get four weeks of real work and a clear checkpoint. My side of the deal is I'm confident enough in the outcome to put half the fee on the line.

How we define "win"

We'll pick 2–3 that matter to you, such as:

  • "This type of project used to take 6–8 weeks; now we can do it in 3–4."
  • "We're consistently getting more work over the line each sprint with the same people."
  • "We finally shipped [feature / internal tool] that's been delayed for months."

If I can't see a believable path to outcomes like that, I won't offer the sprint.

How to start

On a short call I'll make sure your company and team fit the profile — revenue, team size, tech stack. We'll identify the 3–5 biggest opportunities and decide whether to lock in an 8-week window.

If I don't think we can materially change your shipped output in 8 weeks, I won't offer the sprint. A high success rate matters more to me than adding another logo.
